Common temporary side effects include swelling, redness, mild discomfort, itching and small scabs in both donor and recipient areas. Temporary numbness is also normal and usually resolves within weeks.
Less common risks include infection, cysts or poor graft survival—usually linked to improper aftercare or pre-existing skin conditions. If you notice excessive pain, persistent redness, pus, fevers or unusual swelling, you should contact the clinic immediately.
