After the initial shedding phase, new hair begins to grow approximately 3–4 months post-surgery. This shedding, known as “shock loss,” is a normal part of the hair transplant process and should not cause concern.
New hair gradually emerges, often fine and soft initially, then thickening over time. Most patients notice significant visible improvement around 6 months, with full density and natural-looking hair achieved by 9–12 months. Individual growth rates vary based on genetics, age and overall hair health.
At Evolved Hair Restoration Clinic, we provide ongoing monitoring and guidance throughout the growth process. By following our aftercare instructions and maintaining scalp health, you can optimise the longevity and appearance of your transplanted hair.
