Will there be swelling, redness or crusting after surgery?

Yes. Mild redness, swelling and small crusts around each implanted follicle are very normal. These typically last 3–7 days depending on your skin sensitivity and healing rate. Avoid picking or scratching the crusts, as doing so may disturb the grafts. The donor area may also show slight redness or tiny dots, which fade quickly.
