Stages and Types of Hair Loss

A 32 year old male had started thinning at 23 and required high density frontal correction, with large level of transitioning (correction of thin areas, with existing hairs for seamless blending into denser areas). With DFI, 2,369 hairs were implanted to bring back a young and happy look.

A 34 year old male, started thinning at 17 years of age and required extensive frontal correction. Post DFI, the lowering hairline was brought back to pre-thinning levels by implanting 4,210 hairs. Tight curls make this type of procedure more difficult but the extra effort makes the results near perfect.

A 41 year old male had a weak donor and started thinning at the age of 27. Aim was to recreate a mature natural hairline, but slightly receded. 4,934 hairs were implanted, mostly into the frontal hairline, to repair the density back to 90 hairs per square cm, to match the natural hairline. Using DFI, Forelock (Behind the frontal tuff) and mid-section received a density correction.

A 43 years old male required a full correction from the vertex in the crown to the frontal hairline. Post DFI, a natural hairline was rebuilt and the crown was covered by implanting 8,891 hairs over 2 consecutive days, knocking off years from his age. A maximum safe donor extraction was performed and donor area left virtually unmarked.

A young male had an FUT session in 2016, reducing the donor area size dramatically and leaving a noticeable scar. He was not informed about post-operative care and therefore continued thinning. 6,780 hairs were extracted, correcting the lost density and coverage by maximising the limited hairs to recreate a strong dominant hairline. Right advice was provided to protect his natural hair to ensure a lifetime result.

A 28 years old male was suffering from advanced male pattern thinning and hated this version of himself. He even tried shaving but that did not comfort him either. With Direct Follicle Insertion (“DFI”), his hairline was corrected and volume was added to all affected areas by implanting 9,251 hairs over 2 consecutive days.

A 37 years old male started losing hair at the age of 20. His case was rejected by all other surgeons he had consulted, due to the lack of donor hair. With DFI, a new hairline, frontal zone and mid-scalp were rebuilt with a small density improvement in the crown, working back as far as possible, all with a yield of 6,124 hairs. This all added up to a life changing result.

A 34 years female, having used tweezers so much, was left with just a few hairs above her eyes. This made her completely dependent on pencils, as a daily routine, to form her brows. Post DFI, 809 hairs were implanted to restore her look and confidence, utilising the hair most closely matching the colour and size of her original eyebrows.

A 27 years male had an aspiration to enjoy a full, masculine beard but his facial hair growth was thin and uneven. Post DFI, 3,221 hairs were implanted from the back of his scalp at the natural angle of the hair, so as to reflect the original hair growth pattern. Finally, completing what nature was unable to.

A 47 years had a 10 year history of male pattern baldness. With DFI, the extraction procedure was done with the use of specially designed punch and carefully modulated motorized extractor, achieving transection rates of less than 6%. Hairline, mid-section and vertex was reconstructed with 4,711 hairs and care taken to place implanted hairs in a lower natural density, due to the natural curly shape of the grafts.
